OpalDam Green methacrylate-based resin barrier is used to isolate tissue during in-office tooth whitening procedures. The green color is easy to see against gingiva and teeth, resulting in a complete barrier. OpalDam Green resin barrier is easy to apply and remove and has been specifically designed to easily break from undercuts during removal.
INDICATIONS:
For single tooth bleaching, OpalDam should be used to protect adjacent teeth.
OpalDam is light-cured and light-reflectingto keep heat away from the tissues. A few seconds of light curing (10–20 sec) per tooth are sufficient. Thoroughly dry the gingiva prior to applying OpalDam.
OpalDam can also be used to protect hard and soft tissues in procedures such as sandblasting or etching with strong acids (e. g., porcelain repair procedure). It may also be used to seal/fix a rubber dam

Directions to use
PROCEDURE:
STEP 1 :;Apply a barrier of OpalDam or OpalDam Green 4-6mm wide on the gingiva. Seal interproximal spaces. Overlap resin approximately 0.5mm onto dry enamel to seal. Extend resin one tooth beyond last tooth whitened. Light cure with a scanning motion for 20 seconds.
STEP 2: Remove cured resin quickly and easily in one piece or a few large pieces.Check interproximally for retained resin. OpalDam and OpalDam Green are designed to easily remove from embrasures and undercuts.

How long does OpalDam need to be cured before its polymerized?
OpalDam Green for 20 seconds using a scanning motion. Always be sure to check the resin with an explorer to make sure it’s completely polymerized.
What is the difference between OpalDam and OpalDam Green?
Only the color. Many clinicians prefer to use OpalDam Green during an Opalescence Boost procedure because the green color contrasts so well with the color of the teeth, gingiva, and bleaching gel.
