CARICLEAR is a 38% Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) solution that acts as a powerful cariostatic agent, caries inhibitor, remineralize, bactericidal with anti-enzymatic action, and desensitizer.
Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is an odorless liquid indicated for the desensitization of non-carious tooth lesions and molar incisor hypomineralisation.
It is also useful for arresting carious lesions in adults and children who are high caries-risk and/or have difficult-to-control, progressing carious lesions, those who are unable to tolerate invasive treatment, elderly populations, and those who are medically compromised or have the additional care and support needs.
SDF may be used to manage lesions that are too extensive to restore but not associated with pain and/or infection.
This can be important particularly where extractions might be contraindicated for medical or behavioral reasons.
It has the effects of both silver and fluoride on the teeth in one product.
In devitalized teeth, in cavity preparations for prostheses, crowns, fixed bridges, stud bolts, and carving of columns before cementation and when it is desired to preserve the support element.
In the treatment of cavities in deciduous teeth in children where
the aesthetic factor is not important.
