Description
Angelus Reforpost Fibre Glass posts are serrated parallel intraradicular post with conical tip. These fiber glass posts have modulus of elasticity similar to dentin which results in minimum chances of root fracture. Different sizes 1.1, 1.3 and 1.5mm posts are compatible with piezo reamers 3, 4 and 5 sizes respectively. These have greater fatigue resistance than many other leading fiber posts. There is no risk of corrosion that can occur with metal posts.
Indications :
For the support of restorations and prosthetic crowns.

Direction to Use
Direction to Use
Root Canal Preparation
- Select the pin using the template and the periapical x-ray of the tooth
- Remove some of the root-canal fillings with heated instruments to the predetermined depth. The use of drills can cause apical displacement of the gutta-parcha. Allow at last 3 to 5 mm of filling at the root apex due to the presence of accessory canals, which must remain sealed to prevent bacterial contamination
- Prepare the canal with the drill corresponding to the diameter of the selected post
Preparation of reforpost for cementation
- Position the pin to verify its adaptation. Make on the pin 2 to 3 mm from the antagonist’s tooth and cut it with a diamond bit at high rotation undercooling. Do not use scissors or pliers, because the maceration of the fibers changes the mechanical properties of the pain
- Clean the post with alcohol and dry it
- Apply a layer of silane and let it dry for 1 minute
- Apply the fusion -duralink catalyst to the post according to its instructions
Cementation
- Clean the canal with the air-water spray and dry it with air and absorbent paper points
- Etch the canal with 37% phosphoric acid for 15 seconds
- Wash again the canal and dry it with air and absorbent paper points. Apply fusion-duralink primer in the canal and wait for 1 minute
- Apply fusion during catalyst according to the adhesive components must not be mixed before application. They are polymerized chemically without light curing
- Spatulate the resinous cement selected and fill the conduit
- Put the post in the canal, remove excess of the cement and wait for the polymerization. If the cement is dual, light cure it
FAQs
FAQs
“WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF A POST WITH A CONICAL TIP?
- The parallel-sided shape of Reforpost favors its mechanical interlocking with the root
canal walls. Its conical tip allows less tooth reparation at the apical third, saving dentin in this area.
WHAT DRILLS SHOULD BE USED WITH REFORPOST GLASS FIBER?
- Post 1 – Largo drill number 3
- Post 2 – Largo drill number 4
- Post 3 – Largo drill number 5
WHAT ARE THE STEPS FOR THE CEMENTATION OF REFORPOST GLASS FIBER?
- Post preparation: clean with alcohol, apply silane (Silano – Angelus) for 1 minute, apply the adhesive.
- Root canal: acid-etch (37% phosphoric acid for 30 seconds), wash with water, dry with absorbent paper points, apply the primer, apply the adhesive, place Reforpost with resin cement (Cement Post – Angelus).
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF A SERRATED POST?
- The undercuts increase the retention of the post with the cement.
WHY DOES REFORPOST 1 HAVE A SMOOTH MIDDLE PART, WITHOUT UNDERCUTS?
- Its thinner diameter and, consequently, less fiber, could render Reforpost 1 more fragile. So its middle part is smooth, thicker, and stronger.
WHAT CEMENT SHOULD BE USED WITH REFORPOST?
- For the cementation of glass fiber posts, self (chemically) – cured only resin cement (Cement Post – Angelus) is the best recommendation.”
