Description
GDC Chin Retractor is a specialized device that maxillofacial surgeons can use to hold the mental protuberance and tubercle in a static position, especially during osseous genioplasty and other procedures. Its principal use is to maintain the chin in an optimal position during reconstructive procedures involving the mandible.It has a flat uniform handle and the shaft curves to form a U-shaped arch that can capaciously accommodate the soft chin tissues. The terminal blade is trifurcated with two lateral long prongs and a central short projection. The ends of these projections are designed with a curve that points away from the potential soft tissues to avoid any damage.
