Description

3m Espe Filtek Bulk Fill Flowable Restorative – Refills

The 3M™ Filtek™ Bulk Fill Flowable Restorative is engineered for efficient dental restorations with enhanced strength, wear resistance, and radiopacity. It features a specialized formulation of fillers and monomers that minimizes shrinkage and polymerization stress, crucial for maintaining restoration integrity. Its low viscosity allows for easy adaptation in deep cavities, requiring minimal instrumentation for placement. Capable of curing up to 4mm in depth, it supports bulk fill procedures, optimizing workflow efficiency. The material can be safely warmed for up to one hour at 70°C, facilitating injection molding and ensuring precise application. Whether used as a base or a liner, this flowable composite resin offers dental professionals a versatile solution that combines ease of use with reliable performance, contributing to durable and aesthetically pleasing restorations.

Indications:

  • Base under Class I and II direct restorations
  • Liner under direct restorative materials
  • Pit and fissure sealant
  • Restoration of minimally invasive cavity preparations (including small, non-stress-bearing occlusal restorations)
  • Class III and V restorations
  • Undercut blockout
  • Repair of small enamel defects
  • Repair of small defects in esthetic indirect restorations
  • Repair of resin and acrylic temporary materials
  • As a core build-up where at least half the coronal tooth structure is remaining to provide structural support for the crown.

  • Rinse thoroughly with water and dry the tooth without desiccating it.

Bonding:

  • Apply a bonding agent according to the instructions.
  • Light-cure the bonding agent for the recommended time.

Warming (Optional):

  • Warm the capsules up to 70°C for up to one hour if desired.

Dispensing:

  • Attach the capsule to a dispensing gun.

Application:

  • Dispense the flowable restorative material directly into the cavity.
  • Use a dental instrument to ensure even distribution and fill the entire cavity space.

Layering:

  • For deep cavities, apply the material in increments up to 4mm in depth.
  • Ensure each layer is adequately cured before applying the next layer.

Curing:

  • Use a curing light to polymerize the material. Follow the recommended curing time.
  • Ensure the light covers the entire restoration area for uniform curing.

Finishing:

  • Once the final layer is cured, proceed with finishing and polishing the restoration.

Final Check:

  • Verify the occlusion and make any necessary adjustments.
