Direction to Use
- Remove the orthodontic separators.
- Select, fit, and seat orthodontic bands to a maxillary and mandibular molar.
- Properly contour the orthodontic band margin to the tooth.
- Remove the band in preparation for cementation.
- Rinse, dry store the band.
- Isolate and dry quadrant in preparation for band cementation.
- Mix the cement (if needed).
- Load band with cement.
- Position and seat the orthodontic band completely with the band pusher elevator.
- The bands are seated initially with finger pressure followed by full seating with band pushers and bite sticks.
- Once fully seated, depending on the type of cement, excess cement is removed. The tooth and band should be inspected by the orthodontist for ideal placement with any final contouring and burnishing of the band margins as needed.
